My son love this game and it was in excellent shape and very fast shipping.
If you do the "right" thing, you make more friends and opposite is also true.I also like its physics. The game does have a main quest which hints you what you need to do to complete the game, but it also comes with many side quests that you can decide to take on anytime even if you're in a middle of another quest (like real life). The graphics and details to attention is fantastic, especially on large screen. The game's biggest attraction is that it gives you more realistic feel as you don't have to follow the game's script. I highly recommend this and also get the add on "Broken Steele" which extend to games storyline. Also like a real world, whatever you do have a direct consequences to the overall game experience.
I ended up playing many nights into 2, 3 in the morning. I knew this was going to be a great game, but avoided getting it because I knew it would be addictive.and I was right. You can do whatever you want, if you just want to roam the wasteland, it'll let you. It feels real.
However, the open world nature of the game is a bit of a double edged sword. As you might expect, this gives the game a lot of replayability. The game itself takes place in 2277, two centuries after a devastating nuclear war wipes out most human life on Earth, in the ruins of the Washington DC area, known in the game as the Capital Wasteland. The fact that the world is so gigantic means that a lot of the design of the world is pretty repetitive. Long story short, the GOTY version has all five of the downloadable content releases packaged with the original game, but costs more, and apparently is more buggy.I'll start with the good. The problems with the game are pretty substantial, but the overall experience was definitely fun. Fallout 3 is a gigantic game and gives you tremendous freedom to play the game as you see fit.
But there are certain issues with the game that prevented me from enjoying it as much as I could have. You don't get a huge amount of guidance in what to do or where to go (the quest instructions are helpful, but not as helpful as they could be), so it's pretty easy to get lost, distracted, or repeatedly killed by monsters much more powerful than yourself if you're playing the game without outside assistance. While the DC ruins are well realized, many of the suburban ruins are pretty generic. The graphical quality of the game is acceptable, but compared to other games on the PS3, the graphics of Fallout 3 are definitely below average. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this game and would definitely be willing to give the next Fallout game a try. Some of the best moments of the game are when you explore through the DC ruins and see the devastated landmarks, such as the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Jefferson Memorial. The game didn't freeze on me *that* much, but it was enough to be annoying. If Bethesda can eliminate the bugs, they'd have a fantastic game on their hands.
There were also a few instances where I found myself locked in rooms that I couldn't get out of (at least, not in any obvious fashion), but fortunately the game auto-saves really frequently so these are more like annoyances rather than super frustrating bugs. I only purchased this game recently, and found myself choosing between the original version of the game (the one that is being reviewed) and the newer Game of the Year version. You have a huge amount of flexibility in deciding how you proceed through the dozens of quests in the game.
This is definitely an open world game so you can choose to explore any place you want within about an hour of starting the game. At the price Amazon is currently listing this game at, it's a great buy for any RPG fan.
Fallout 3 is a game I really wanted to like a lot, and for the most part, I did. You also have to make a lot of choices in how to customize your character's abilities, so Fallout 3 accommodates a wide variety of playstyles. But the biggest problem with the game, by far, is the bugginess.
Fairly weak. I more like first person shooter games. I bought this on recommendations seen on the internet. It's an okay game, but not my favorite. There doesn't seem to be much plot or point to this one.
It is disappointing that they have no interest in fixing the problems with it.My advice.don't waist your time or money. Just my opinion. Once I started over the game then decided to totally freez up my system. The next day when I went to play again I found that my 12 hours had disappeared and I had to start all over again. Between the glitches, loosing my save points and completely locking up my PS3 I was ready to pull my hair out. This game was nothing but problems for me right from the start. At one point I had over 12 hours of game play in. I had to push and hold the PS3 power button to force it to shut off then when it did power back up again all of my saved play was GONE.It really is too bad that this game does not work as I was really liking the story and function of the game itself.
